Graveside Manner- Six Feet Deep
Graveside Manner once again proves that Detroit is a breeding ground for great music. Six Feet Deep is the first official release from these guys, but I definently hope it’s not the last. Mostly on the slower side of psychobilly, this album truly shows off the unique melody this group of Detroit boys have to offer. Almost all of the tracks will have you tapping your toes and getting lost in the rythym. Fans of The Mercs and Bastard sons of Johnny Cash will certainly NEED this in their collection, and it’s a safe bet for fans of Sasquatch & the Sick-a-Billies as well. The CD is remarkable for a first release and shows a very impressive versatility. The main portion has an older honky tonk feel with a dash of southern rock, folk and of course psychobilly while other songs give you a taste of surf rock guitar. Overall, the sound they bring is a fantastic blend of old and new while managing to still be original. Though they only give us 9 tracks to listen to I still have to give this one

Hope everyone had a sickeningly happy VD (Valentine’s Day). If ya read my last review, here’s a link to the newest video from the Barbarellatones, “Sexabilly”

I’ve recently received “Drinking My Life Away” from Under The Gun. It doesn’t quite fit the bill for anything other than punk/ska/oi, but is a fantastic listen. Anyone who enjoys Melincolin, Bad Religion, Greenday, and Pennywise should defefinately grab it. Just because it don’t fit in on this site doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it an ear! You’ll be happy you did.
Also, coming up are interviews with the super talented Nick Curran, as well as Jeannette Kantzalis from A Broke Heart Pro!
